One evening - three paintings

I did these paintings on the beach of Costa da Caprica last Sunday evening between 7pm and 9pm. I had to paint really fast as the light condition was changing every minute! I will post better quality images later. Just wanted to show you these three paintings all together. I finished the last one (bottom right) when the setting sun has almost gone...

Peonies

I painted this scene from life in our living room. It was a very enjoyable painting session even though the lighting conditions were a bit challenging. Gouache on strathmore grey paper for mixed media. Approx. 9x8 in. The only source of light was a warm light table lamp. I had to use my small portable led lights to illuminate the painting because any additional source of light would have affected the lighting of the scene.
